Democrats have record low approval ratings for a reason.

@WardenJune March 19, 2025 - 7:43 pm

Yes a lot of money was spent, and a lot of it was probably misspent. And we lost by 1.5% of the vote, despite a massive disinformation campaign, massive Russian meddling again, and a massive voter suppression effort. And we were a little behind on the Tik Tok and podcast thing. And maybe Taylor Swift should have put out a reminder.

Whatever happened to Michigan and Arizona pursuing state-level charges, against Trump but also others?

Journalist Craig Unger has written a well documented book, House of Trump House of Putin, on Trump as a Russian Asset.

When asked, I didn't hear Carville say what Democrats should have done different during the SOU speech? He agreed with Al Hunt in saying what they did was silly but neither said what what would have been better. Al Greene got a lot of Democratic support for standing up and advocating for his constituents, who include many Medicaid recipients. Criticizing Democrats when it is Republicans that are the ones attacking our democracy is what is silly. Al Hunt said "Al Greene didn't cut it". The people he represents want someone to stand up and advocate for them. I bet a lot of them think Al Greene did "cut it".

Most politicians, Republicans and Democrats alike, have absolutely no personal integrity. You'll never convince me that any individual agrees 100% (or even close to 100%) with every position taken by their party or party leader. I have tended to vote Republican over the years, but I agree with Democrats on some issues, Republicans on some issues and, occasionally, I don't agree with the position taken by either party. I would like for someone to begin keeping a tally of politicians who vote contra to the position taken by their party / party leader. I promise to vote for the politicians who have the most "contra" votes. I may not agree with where they stand on the issues, but at least I know they have considered the issue and decided to put personal integrity above party affiliation. Over the long run, that's what is most important to me. As an aside, I have made my representatives aware of where I stand and have indicated I will influence as many voters as I possibly can to take a similar stance.

Unfortunately, this is a time when a person or people will need to throw caution to the wind. who have few extended vulnerabilities like family and
Career or a career that can't be eliminated by the executive.
These few will need to be fearless.
And they will need to be aggressive.
The courtroom and midterm elections will be the battlefield.
And collateral damage,,, will simply need to be endured.
If $trump loses in 28?
Be prepared. STRAP IN!
How disappointingly crass.
And be prepared to partisapate in the
Angry Mob at the Gate.
$trump is a sickening phenomenon.
The $trump epoch might end in a manner reminiscent of recent events
with Muskrats
Delta V Booster and
especially Stratoship.

13:15 – Bumiller said she would not criticize her own paper. That sounds familiar. The Republicans will not criticize Trump and look what we have. I'm out of here. Delete. Unsubscribe.

One thing thats has always really annoyed me about American male commentators is their obsessive insistence of using " sports metaphors "for bloody everything !! WTF ??? it explains a lot about why the US is such a simplistic basket case !!

@justinlinnane8043 March 19, 2025 - 7:43 pm

In a word NO Europe and the Uk ( and all of OUR allies ) will not trust the USA again !! We've put up with your crap for decades . Never ending wars ! ( where we sent our soldiers to die for zero result!!) World wide economic crashes !! And now the icing on the insanity cake . Trump and MAGA !! Your'e a rogue state that acts against our interests so no we wont be trusting you again !!

US supplied munitions were used to kill over 100 journalists while the Dems were in office.
Peaceful protestors were smeared by client media then beaten up by police – also whilst the Dems were in office.
Libs4genocide only became worried about suppression of free speech since they threw the election by prioritising killing refugee children for a foreign colonial ethno state over saving their own democracy.
If US citizens lose some of their freedoms, schools & hospitals etc it'll only be a little bit of karmic realignment, a tiny smigeon of justice.

The phrase "Nattering Nabobs of Negativism" was famously coined by speechwriter William Safire and delivered by Vice President Spiro Agnew in 1970. Agnew, serving under President Richard Nixon, used the colorful and memorable phrase to criticize journalists and media outlets perceived as persistently negative or excessively critical of Nixon's administration and policies.

"Nattering Nabobs of Negativism" quickly became a symbol of political rhetoric, reflecting a broader tension between political leaders and the press. Agnew's speech was part of a deliberate strategy to discredit and delegitimize critical media coverage, shifting public perception by portraying media skepticism as unjustified pessimism.

The term remains culturally resonant today, often referenced in political discourse as a shorthand critique of perceived negativity, cynicism, or obstructionism. Its continued usage illustrates the enduring power of language in shaping political narratives and public opinion.

They say seniors but everyone should do this!
Post Cards for POTUS A senior citizen protest! The greatest generation is not fooled one bit by the corrupt con man in office. They may not be social media savvy, but they sure know right from wrong and are willing to speak up! Please join them!
Circulating by seniors on email:
On March 15th mail Donald Trump a postcard that publicly expresses your opposition to him. We, in vast numbers, from all corners of the world, will overwhelm the man with his unpopularity and failure. We will show the media and the politicians what standing with him — and against us — means. And most importantly, we will bury the White House post office in pink slips, all informing Trump he’s fired.
Each of us — every protester from every march, each congress calling citizen, every boycotter, volunteer, donor, and petition signer — if each of us writes even a single postcard and we put them all in the mail on the same day, March 15th, well: you do the math.
No alternative fact or Russian translation will explain away our record-breaking, officially verifiable, warehouse-filling flood of fury. Hank Aaron currently holds the record for fan mail, having received 900,000 pieces in a year. Let’s set a new record, over a million pieces in a day, with not a single nice thing to say.
So sharpen your wit, unsheathe your writing implements, and see if your sincerest ill-wishes can pierce Donald’s famously thin skin.
Prepare for March 15th, 2025, a day hereafter to be known as #TheIdesOfTrump
Write one postcard. Write a dozen! Take a picture and post it on social media tagged with #TheIdesOfTrump ! Spread the word! Everyone on Earth should let Trump know how he’s doing. They can’t build a wall high enough to stop the mail.
Then, on March 15th, mail your messages to:
President (for now) Donald J. Trump
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20500
It might just be enough to make him crack or at least stress him out. It will be a warning to his enablers of his highly unpopular agenda. Snail mail will rule the day over fake cyber news.
Off to the PO for postcards and postcard stamps@56cents each.
