Jackie is the one who told of going for the debate, Kennedy’s got there first, Kennedy got makeup, Nixon gets there and Kennedy says he doesn’t need make-up so Nixon turns down makeup. Nixon had just had knee surgery and Kennedy himself rams a cart into his,née (accidentally) just prior to sitting for the debate. The lies told by the media about Nixon to this day are indefensible
