People keep falling for the false efficiency narrative pushed by Musk and others. Cutting government jobs may look 'efficient' on paper, but efficient for whom? If these workers aren’t absorbed into new roles, all this does is shift the burden to ordinary people while making the rich richer. Corporate 'efficiency' isn’t about improving society, it’s about maximizing profits, often at the expense of human well-being.
Government waste exists, but so does massive corporate waste, planned obsolescence, stock buybacks, and overproduction that serve no purpose except enriching shareholders. Yet, people like Full Spectrum Survival only criticize government inefficiency while ignoring corporate inefficiency.
Instead of replacing government inefficiency with corporate inefficiency, we should be designing a system that prioritizes real human and ecological well-being. That’s why the Natural Law Economy (NLE) focuses on task-based work, sustainable resource use, and genuine societal progress, not financial speculation. It’s time to stop glorifying corporate cost-cutting as a solution and start questioning whether it actually makes life better for people or just increases profit margins.
And to ensure decisions actually serve the people, Open Direct Competent Democracy (ODCD) replaces corrupt, self-serving politicians with a system where all citizens make decisions, guided by competent experts in relevant fields.
