You can't expect house holders who have had Council tax rises to take their own crap to the tips. 😮

@CarlStJohn-x9w April 12, 2025 - 9:53 am

New rubbish idea was to leave the crap on the upper deck of the buses 😊

@Gius3pp3K April 12, 2025 - 9:53 am

I didn’t realise you could dispose of desks in your wheelie bin? I think people are abusing the fly tipping with items that you wouldn’t put in you wheelie bin in the first place.

In 2023-24, a record 3,906 council officials received over £100,000, with 1,092 earning more than £150,000, according to the Town Hall Rich List 2025, stop paying council tax

Well done Marvyn Harrison for immediately shutting down the absolutely insane idea of people burning the backlog of rubbish. To even suggest this in built-up areas with thousands of tonnes of highly combustible rubbish laying around is just beyond stupid and the two presenters suggesting it should be reprimanded for doing so

@David-n1z5o April 12, 2025 - 9:53 am

Coming for drivers next the other 2 unions know this why aint there members striking

@Sharon-zi1xn April 12, 2025 - 9:53 am

Looks like Birmingham residents ( not all obviously ) are taking advantage of the rubbish building up and throwing away all their extra crap like they would in a skip!!
If this was happening in my area we would double bag everything and take to local tip every 2 weeks so it did not build up like this!
Some people are looking at it like a free for all with some of the crap on those rubbish piles, it is disgusting!
I can only speak for myself, but i am pretty sure most people where i live would also do as i suggested, cannot imagine in a million years they would let it build up like this!!
Never liked Birmingham, always thought it was a bit of a dump, now it literally is!!

@lillianflorence6056 April 12, 2025 - 9:53 am

They dump outside other peoples houses, keep there own fronts clean pigs

Uk has been broken for 20+ years. Everything is broken. Government are corrupt. Waste billions of tax payers money on what they shouldn't be spending on…. MPs on lavish salaries. While everyone else struggling.

@gladyssannahmthombeni6501 April 12, 2025 - 9:53 am

@DonClark-qy4oq April 12, 2025 - 9:53 am

Why don’t they bring in the army

@johnrowlands1142 April 12, 2025 - 9:53 am

What lots of people seemed to have forgotten, that during the 70s and 80s we sent in the military to cover the bin strikes in Glasgow, we sent in the military to cover the fire brigade strikes, the tanker drivers strikes, and the ambulance drivers strikes.
And how do I know, because I was one of those individuals who had my HGV licences, so I like many others were trained to operate the Green Goddesses military fire engines, the same with being trained to operate the fuel tankers, and then those of us who were first aid trained were partnered up with medically trained personnel to respond to low priority call outs, so that the few professional ambulance crews could respond to the higher priority calls.
And we did the job with the professionalism that the people would expect from their military service guys and gals. And we were treated with total respect by the public and those who were on strike. I personally enjoyed the several weeks that we spent in Glasgow, because the people treated us like kings. Sleeping on the floor of the gymnasium in HMS FASLANE the navy base where the nuclear submarines are located was a bit uncomfortable, but we got on with the job and we enjoyed the banter and reception from the Glaswegian people. And none of us complained about our deployment in too any of the different locations, because we know that it’s all part of our role within the UK. Same as when the country is hit by heavy storms, or heavy flooding, we know that we will be deployed. Because it’s part of our remit to protect and defend the people of our country irrespective of the circumstances and reasons, as we are a ready workforce who can be deployed much faster and efficiently, with no conflicts with any unions or other authorities. ✌️✌️✌️✌️
