shutting down the government is never the right move. When Democrats were in power, they passed big bills like the ACA without much Republican input. Now they’re using a shutdown to protect those same policies. That’s not leadership — that’s hypocrisy. Both parties have played this game, but it’s regular Americans who pay the price. Democrats need to pass the cr.

Democracy requires negotiation. The Republicans talk about all these 15 attempts to open the government but they simply want the Democrats to capitulate. The Big Beautiful Bill passed because it was a reconciliation bill. In the Senate it was a 50/50 split. The VP was the tie braker. It passed the House barely by three votes. That is not a mandate. Republicans have shown they are willing to allow Americans to suffer for their agenda. Now the Democrats have some pushback. We must continue to fight. America deserves better!🇺🇲🥰

Funny reading all the comments. Im working and not getting paid…SNAP benefits are given to SOME people who wish not to work. they are paid through tax dollars…if im not getting paid then there is no tax dollars to go into giving them money. What about me, others in my situation? We need food to feed our families as well. Why should I have to suffer to help others? because I work and have put money aside in case of emergencies like this? Why dont we all look at this as a tradegy as a whole and not single out people/government parties that you dont agree with. In the past both sides would agree to a CR to keep the govt open and then work out the problems. This hasnt worked out that way

Obamacare subsidies are necessary because Obamacare is completely unaffordable. This year, so far I've paid over $15,000, and it just keeps gettin more expensive. On top of that, I have deductible and copayments that go beyond just paying for the mess. It's time to vote out Obamacare!
