Lessons? I resent the insinuation that we needed to “learn something” – I appreciate foreign points of view, I’m an American and this is an Australian production – I watch BBC News as American news outlets are crap, but I think “lessons” is a strong word. The only people who didn’t learn any lessons were the Democrats.
They made exactly the same miscalculations and assumptions about the voters being too dumb to know the difference and are surrounded by too many “Yes” people.
They’ve completely “lost the plot” as my British friends would say.
I think Trump 2.0 is a much more politically aware administration: as pointed out, Trump was in no position on day one to make 4000 appointments or have any idea what he was getting into.
But
The Swamp resisted him with all their might the first time, but this time I truly hope for bipartisan support to move the country ahead out of debt and to bring jobs and pride back to the USA. The entire world depends on a strong America and that can be accomplished without taking anything away from anybody. We can all win.
