Extrordinary!🙏👏🌹
A great piece of journalism. Thank you.
his daddy would be SO proud!!!
Jim grew up in my hometown of Philly…..a true American treasure and a major musical loss! It's great his son is keeping the family name going and is great in his own right!!!
He never created anything
Nobody asked
Saw him perform!!! Excellent show with video!!😃👍
Loved your dad's music, still play it. I just graduated high school in 73. What a loss
Wow memories of my 1st years at ft Louis. WA as a young private. 😢❤
God bless you we all loved your Dad and thank you for keeping him alive
What a story of tragedy and triumph! An inspiration for everyone, not just musicians. I'm currently learning "Time In a Bottle" on guitar with another acoustic guitarist. It's hauntingly beautiful and such a joy to play. Thanks Jim, thanks AJ. You guys are the best.
Love ewe JR!.
Rock on Daddy Our Father inn Heaven ❤
❤
God Bless you AJ you have lived a life many couldm fatham.
What a great piece. Adjacent……best word to use. I think it’s always hard a child to live up to a parent when they pick the same career path. You got to just be yourself and not allow others comparing you to your parent ruin your own achievements.
This reduced me to tears. Jim would be so proud of AJ! ❤
his dad did leave a gift for his son after all. his music,,, witch is a gift for all of us as well.
Will never forget learning of Jim Croce's untimely passing and reading his obituary in The Washington Post. Shocking and Saddening. Gone Too Soon!
I completely understand your need to not be in your father's shadow. Now, that you are older, I am SURE that your decision to honor your father by bringing his music to life, as NO OTHER could, makes him so extremely proud. Thank you. ❤
Emocionante!!❤❤❤
It will leave our heart forever😊😊😊
You’ve placed many call’s too many people in there heart ♥️ forever & ever
Your father was a great singer. I don't think you could ever replace him.
An inspiration to all facing great challenges in life and persevering to greatness!
Jim Croce was my favorite artist of all time and his song "Time in a Bottle" was one of my all-time favorites. His voice was so unique and just very different than any other singer of that time and all the while it had this very honest, deep but soft inspiring sound. He was just such a great singer, and his music always told a story, which is some of the reason I liked him so much I think.
I was so sad when I heard of his tragic passing. Seems as the old saying goes, "Only the good die young." is sadly true so much of the time.
Hearing his son sing his dad's song is really nice and he has the same honest, great voice with the same feeling as his dad did.
I know this video is 2 years old, but now that I know his son sings his dad's songs, I'll sure be listening to A.J. He is for sure a very inspiring man by overcoming the things he has. His dad would be so very proud!!
Great video!
He plays his father’s music beautifully. I will never understand why parents bring outsiders into their children’s lives such as A.J.’s mom did? I too had a mom who brought a man into our lives who was terrible. It happens so often. I love his father’s music, and he is paying a warm loving tribute to his legacy, memory, and life.
I was 8 and even at that age I remember feeling the emotions and understood much of what Jim’s stories were telling now at almost 60 yrs I find it amazing how well these songs have aged, this video is my 1st introduction to Jim’s son A. J. all I can say is your dad must be incredibley proud of you.
Croce was amazing. He died not too long after my best friend introduced me to him when we were in grade school. His lyrics were amazing
Jim Croce was one of my absolute favorites in the early 70’s. He died in September while I was in Spain visiting my Dad’s ancestors. I will NEVER forget that!💕
That must be an incredibly weak and insecure man/boy to hurt a child.
My dad died when I was 18 months old 😌
So precious
Sad to hear what him and his dad went through..glad he’s following his dad’s footsteps.
I love how he mentions ELO!! That’s my favorite band of all time!
God bless this man.
I am just stunned over the reason AJ lost his sight. I hope the monster who did that to him went to prison. What a horrible thing to have happen to you; I’m happy to hear he regained some of his sight. He has a beautiful voice and seems like a lovely person. God bless you, AJ.
musical genes are incredible.
Croce died at 30 years because a sheriff in Louisiana threatened them with arrest if they didn't "get outa town" right now! "Haste makes Waste."
A J your a amazing person your dad would be so proud of you keep the music coming
The first licks i smiled 😊
