I think people are not seeing something here. This government shutdown is not about Democratic party demands. These are demands they know the Republicans will not give in to. This shut down is to purposely hurt the American economy. They want to push up inflation, create job loss, and infect economic pain. They will then try and spin the bad economy has having nothing to do with the government shut down but as bad Republican policies and bad Governance by Trump as to why the economy is collapsing. They know a good economy is bad for Democratic prospects in the next election.
