The Problem: Every time Washington shuts down, federal workers go without pay for weeks or months. They still have bills, mortgages, and families to support — even though back pay usually comes later. Shutdowns harm workers and local economies.
The Solution: Create a self-funded paycheck protection account for federal employees:
1. Each worker contributes 2–5% of their gross paycheck.
2. The federal government matches each dollar.
3. Contributions stop once the account equals six months’ pay.
4. Funds are held in guaranteed, interest-bearing Treasury accounts (no stock market risk).
5. During a shutdown, workers get paid from their own account; back pay automatically replenishes it.
6. If never used, the balance continues earning interest and can roll into retirement (TSP) or be paid as a tax-deferred lump sum.
Key Benefits: • Ensures uninterrupted pay during shutdowns
• Eliminates need for emergency loans or charity
• Earns guaranteed interest while remaining liquid for emergencies
• Becomes an extra retirement nest egg if unused
• Self-funded and deficit-neutral over time
Why This Matters: This is a fair, practical, and fiscally responsible fix that protects federal workers and stabilizes communities — without creating permanent new government spending.

Since democrats wanted to pork barrel the budget and republicans said hey let’s do those things later is why this happened.
It’s about subsidies of health insurance but more specifically subsidies for immigrants who don’t come through immigration.
The rest get some help but not as much. So small companies who qualified for subsidies under Obama negotiations with overlord health insurers were coming to an end or were on the block.
Simply put we the US people deserve 100% health care with no insurance companies. All insurance companies should not be involved either as they are corrupt worse then our own govt.
in that just look into this your self. For the premiums paid and services denied it’s obvious why they stay profitable no matter what.
As a provider I will say we have more problems with insurance companies denied procedures or medication and wanting patients to jump through hoops that we can clear them in office but the company want the patient to see specialists until they can get a prior authorization to got in and then it’s still can be denied if the insurance company’s people deem it insufficient to pass.
