This is nothing of importance, Americans production and energy is to expencive in salleries and massive in margins and earnings to the owners. Just not effective and as we all know American quality is really bad in everything they produce. In 5-10 years Europe, India, even Turkey and Russia has better chip making than America and 30% cheaper. Companies thatove to America is going to have problems with the costs and to compete dollar has to drop 20% in value. Just look at a iphone, super expensive and not even better. The only thing that is kind of good is military weapons… But they are very very expensive and 300 time more than any other advanced military equipment ftom other countries

If you build it, will they come ??? Micron, Samsung, SK as of 2023, had walk away from a 2.4 Billions consumer market with Chinese OEM at the center of consumers. Who said Chinese can't make it for it's OEM.

China is watching and learning, China is actively de-america, knowing that the US is a security issue, China is pursuing an anything-but-America policy in its supply chain.
When China attains total self-suffiency, where would America sell its chips to be churned out from the new foundries now that you have sanctioned the biggest market?

It is bound to fail just like intel because US manufacturing is just not competitive without sanctions and trade bans. it's even highly possible that china wouldve caught up in technology by the time these new US fabs are ready for production.
Chips made in the US cost far more and it still needs foreign labor to do it.

Its cute when Americans shows zero awareness to how big the semiconductor industry is and how small these US fabs are, TSMC Arizona for example only make up 4% of TSMC's global volume, or that none of these fabs can operate without upstream Asian suppliers, constant Asian tech support and down-stream Asian packaging, not to mention no actual device can actually work with just one chip.
