The insane resistance of every government to doing the common sense thing that would ACTUALLY benefit the country and its people is what makes people hate politicians. They always seem to do the exact opposite and actively make things worse or at best, no better, for the majority of people. A great example is the water companies. How long do they have to pollute every single river in the country before its actually renationalized? Its extremely obvious to every grown adult that the water companies are fleecing every resident in the country, being given billions in subsidy and doing the worst job they legally can with as little infrastructure investment as possible. The sheer amount of bureaucracy involved in every single project is ridiculous too. It shouldnt take decades of impact reports and assessments and investigations to add another lane to an existing main road. It shouldnt take an entire parliamentary term to get something as simple as a national energy company set up. Its all just taxpayer funded fluff to pad and obfuscate the fact that this country is effectively held ransom by the mega rich and bureaucrats.

Gents way off the mark….again 🫣

Save this podcast for future study. This will help people understand how whats going to happen happened. Complete and utter delusion so separate from any reality, its almost straight up comedy

@mysticmikeable November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

Please stop spamming me with the 'members only' stuff ON MY YT SUBSCRIPTIONS etc… I am not a member and don't want to be so keep "members only" content private to members and leave me with ONLY the non members stuff… Putting up Videos I cannot and do not want to access is painful – almost extortion… there are ads and then there is pressure – this is well into the pressure region. 🙁 …Else I will have to also unsubscribe – Spam and Ads are annoying from YT… and when the content provider acts worse than YT, one has to respond… Please stop it… …or maybe set up another website? …You are one of the few with YT ads PLUS In Video Ads PLUS Members Only Ads… Urgh… enough now…!

@NickDartnall November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

This hasn't aged well with the news that BBC doctored and edited Trumos 06-Jan speech. Quality hypocracy 😂

@Ukcentrist November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

I look forward to a time when the Chancellor is no longer a daily subject of conversation in my household. Two small businesses here, and Reeves' incompetence and complete cluelessness about business feels very personal. Genuinely thinking about closing my business, the constant onslaught of external factors have made it almost impossible to progress in any way that improves our lives in real terms. Better off making a bit less money in employment, and not living or dying by Reeves' incompetence

@KarakuraNinja November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

I feel like the UAE is the black sheep of the Islamic world. People aren't that fond and see them as collaborators of war crimes and selling their religion away for wealth.

@simonbradford3937 November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

you are both are full of shit, including your sponsorship!

@Billers100 November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

What happened to the manifesto promise of windfall tax? The chasing of taxes of businesses who don’t pay their way? Labour fail to understand that the average person cannot afford to pay more, everything we do and own is taxed to high heaven whilst politicians expense everything and live in a parallel universe. The general public are genuinely at wits end from constantly being undermined and lied to.
It is no surprise that Reform are on the rise, our 2 main parties have failed us for 25 years and people are looking for a leader to listen and act in our nations best interests – not a global agenda.

@discostu2 November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

Two people with no idea about climate change giving opinions on climate change

@Simon-zb6fp November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

Not only has Alastair got it wrong, Rory Stewart has too. Neither of you has mentioned the £150 million bond that Jamaica is allowed to cash in courtesy of the World Bank. Well of course you haven't. You both prefer to play the White privileged card. Shame on you both.

@tom5216 November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

Sick to death of people banging on about the climate ‘CRISIS’ . You guys are also apparently keen on EVs. EVs are not the answer, they need to be charged and are a major contributor to the requirement for more electricity. Do the math, the amount of electricity required if we all have EVs is staggering. Get Kathryn Porter on as a guest and enlighten yourselves instead of behaving like sheep.

@jackadams November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

Why are all the patriots in the comments so relaxed with Musk interfering in British politics?

@MrPaddy924 November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

Well done Rory! You said outloud the bit that most people in politics refuse to acknowledge….that GDP growth is the problem.

@not-this-fartoofar3606 November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

I am 67 .. sat here with my long Johns and winter coat, with a blanket across my legs.. Dare not put my heating on.. Trying to save for Christmast. I know I will have no xmas dinner like I used to. No pressies. I am so ashamed of this country and this Government. I was sent to war for this country and various other tours.. wtf for.. I hate starmer and hate the Labour Government. If there is a civil war, I hope the people will remember what the woke Judges and MP's did to us… I am coming to the end of my life and I am glad coz now I dont give a fk.

@charlietuck7185 November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

10 year old girl SA’d by an illegal migrant and Musk is the issue…

@kernowchris November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

Something odd about these pods. Both Hosts want us to engage in politics and not listen to all the hyperbole yet they cannot resist clickbaity almost Daily Mail/Express esque headlines to promote their videos. Give your audience some respect or take your place with the gutter Press.

@JGray1066 November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

Rory is truly a moron, he understands absolutely zero about climate.

@robertallen591 November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

thes to are everything wrong with politics, both are neo liberals and both have failed the nation , so people are desperate for something else,, and sadly thats looking like the far right, neither of these two deserve to be listned to while commenting on anything, both should be begging the public for forgiveness

@WesleyHall-m1h November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

Good to see frequent flyers Campbell & Stewart taking fossil fuel reliance seriously.😂😂😂

@delft72 November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

I'm sick of this climate excuse to try to control me and take money from me.

@WesleyHall-m1h November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

Always enjoy a COP – nothing like watching the most pious people in the world flying in their private jets. They are such good people😂

@torus186 November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

longs as it only breaks Labour and not the Country we might be OK.

@Seany06 November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

34:17 Joe Rogan is in on it, he's literally been a paid shill for Thiel, Musk and co for a few years

The right are also paying off video vloggers to now travel around UK and Europe to known bad areas and cherry pick while causing problems (Kurt Caz, Tyler Oliveira, Dutch Travel Maniac etc) they know social media is effective in spreading their propaganda which is fueling this 'uK/eURoPe is FinIsHeD' nonsense.

@johnmorrison5503 November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

Why no pods on Andrew? I wonder why Roderick.

@arooogaa November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

Net Zero should be scrapped entirely.
Importing the trash of the world destroys our society and has done. A review of all immigrants since 1997 and removal, remigration for a high percentage is required.

@TPVII November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

So why exactly has the climate change original (if not biggest) activist Bill Gates COMPLTELY CHANGED his opinion admitting he is wrong? Just asking…

@danoneill8751 November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

The whole "if we tax the 1% they'll leave and we'll lose out overall" is nonsense, its been shown over and over again that they don't all leave, and their 'trickle down spending' is a made up myth that regan & thatcher just pushed cos they like to coddle the wealthy, its simply not a thing. The 1% don't trickle down their wealth, its not a thing, the 1% keep their wealth and spend a truly minuscule amount of their cash. Labour should be taxing us all if they need to tax us, I'll pay a bit more if I have to, but they should be slanting it such that – yes, the 1% DO pay more. I know Rory and Alistair are probably 1% and they might have to pay a bit more, but I just honestly don't care, they wont all move out, they'll just pay a bit more.

@rob19632 November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

The stats didn't say how many people didn't die of being Cold.

@arooogaa November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

The climate has always changed. That sums it up. We don't have to do anything.

@rorygallagher9222 November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

Would love to see Alister and Rory talk to Kathryn Porter, the unlikely ex oil broker turned "independent" energy consultant, recently on Triggernomatry. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzCiEHGVMwA

@member529 November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

laughable how no one is even talking about the 1 trillion pounds that was printed for the furlough scheme that flowed straight tot he elites. That money was needed in an emergency, but the emergency is over now, why cant we recover it from the rich with a one-off tax ?

@member529 November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

tax wealth at its source (not income)
wealthy people leaving the country is not a problem if you tax wealth at its source, rather than where a individual happens to live. GDP is not a relevant measure of an economy.

@brendangallagher8087 November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

why is our energy the most expensive in the world

@brendangallagher8087 November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

Hurricane Melissa and the destruction of parts of Jamaica is unquestionably a tragedy and yes insurance is becoming an issue but as ever, there are no caveats or objectivity from the climate change warriors. who refuse to see the limits of their arguments

By far the worst Caribbean hurricane in the last 100 years was the labor day hurricane 90 years ago – so memorably reported by Hemingway – which hit Cuba and southern Florida. Are we suggesting that was down to climate change? I don't think so . Nature and climate is largely an uncontrollable beast, it will do its own thing when and how it wants. Our control is limited, there are things we can d, but there is no big solution

@douglashopping8267 November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

Surely your information is dated we have 350 years of coal to burn

@douglashopping8267 November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

Gas oil low price

@Amazing_Lee November 5, 2025 - 8:25 pm

Politicians are so far off the ball right now. I do not care about virtue signalling. Or about any kind of peripheral subjects. Cut every single bullshit department. Slim the state down and tax in a simple way. Ever tried to get in touch with HMRC? A year I've been dealing with an issue. Also, we don't get much oil from the North Sea out of choice … We then buy it from abroad anyways?
