The story Simone was told about the Palestinian people is literally what I was told by my parents. "They didn't own the land, they just settled there, they were peasants that hadn't built anything of importance until the jews arrived, …" I also felt sick watching this, I was born in Israel but I grew up in Belgium where I still live. I had never heard of the Nakba and the expulsion of 750.000 Palestinians until after October 7th. I also feel this communal shame and anger of being lied to all my life. I'm glad this documentary exists, so many jews all over the world are waking up.
Thank you for standing up for the Palestinian people ❤
88% of Israelies in Isarel ate zionst and Zionsim doesn't have anything to do with judism

This video is captivating thanks for waking up the world about the horrors of the Middle East
sick place my god
The way al Jazeera have been covering Israel stories, shows that they're terrorists sponsors.
So the Americans become Israeli soldiers instead? And not serve America? Oh yea same thing
Why are the Jews acting like Nazis?
There are more Arabs living in Tel Aviv than Jews living in the entire Muslim world…and there are way more Arabs today in Israel than there were in 1948. Yes, of course, it's genocide. Dorks!
The Palestinian victim narrative has no credibility. One-sided reporting, no mention whatsoever of constant Arab and Palestinian aggression against Israel.
An Arab leader Faisal was keen to give for a Jewish state in an Arabic federation of countries. It was proposed in the League of Nations
The settlements give many jobs to Arabs, many homes are knocked down because they are built with money form the martyrs fund. Al Zazeera as usually biased.
Why don't you say that Jews accepted the partition plan? And Arabs no? That Arabs made a war to them and may more since? That they said not to many peace offers?
It's not the largest scale in modern history, that's an exaggeration. Greeks in Turkey, Panasonic in Nigeria, Germans from Esst Europe, Pakestine-India transfers. Only Palestinians can't cope with it, And Jews asked them to stay under their rule or leave, not just to leave. We have evidence of all these now.
Of course, this boils down to an anti-TRUMP hit piece. Of course. TRUMP is the future of the western world…. Christian/Jew/Muslim all of us
As a catholic growing up in the same timeframe in 🇺🇸 we were always taught Jesus was a Jew, we shouldn’t hate Jews or Palestinians. Both exist in the bible. I’m pro USA 🇺🇸
I cant bear to watch this. Not now.
The Iflakud terrorists produced several Israeli prime ministers including the present prime terrorist
The Iflakud terrorists, produced the IDF
Dont worry guys. Israel is winning no matter how many silly videos you make. No real Jews believe any of this, but if you do, enjoy your fantasy and keep losing
hurtful to watch this program. saying they're the only ones who know the truth is simply the opposite. those who really care about human suffering know the truth. israelis can no longer deceive what's so obvious and in your face. Liars!
all the compassion and support that was given to jews after WW2 one would think that they would give the same emotion back to Palestinians who are now suffering their own genocide. Hypocrites and selfish is what they are.
Free Palestine
Anne Frank.
Zionist brainwash their own and the masses! Their everything evil in this world
Professor Nurit Peled-Elhanan is an Israel-born Jewish citizen of Israel, & a professor at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
She believes that the education system in Israel is extremely racist & apartheid, with a litany of lies about the foundation & history of Palestine & Israel, & the Israelis, the Palestinians, neighbouring countries' peoples, & other peoples' part in it.
Among her many books, 'Palestine in Israeli School Books: Ideology and Propaganda in Education,' (2012) is very informative.
This cannot be allowed to continue.
Can someone sensible enough to ask Isreal stop using this name 'Palestine 'as it has no stake in Isreal.
The issue surrounding the naming of the region and the history of Israel, Judea, and Samaria is deeply rooted in historical events, particularly the actions of the Roman Empire and the aftermath of its conquest of the Jewish kingdom. Let's explore the key elements involved and the complex history that has led to the modern-day conflict.
1. Roman Conquest and the Renaming of Judea
The events that set the stage for the naming of "Syria Palaestina" and the erasure of Jewish identity can be traced back to the Roman Empire's interactions with the region. In the early first century CE, the Romans had established control over Judea, which was a client kingdom of the Roman Empire.
The most notable event that marked a dramatic shift in Jewish life was the First Jewish-Roman War (66–73 CE). The war culminated in the destruction of the Second Temple in Jerusalem in 70 CE, a pivotal event for the Jewish people, symbolizing their loss of sovereignty and the beginning of a prolonged exile.
After the Bar Kokhba revolt (132–136 CE), a major Jewish uprising against Roman rule, the Romans crushed the rebellion decisively. Emperor Hadrian responded by implementing policies to ensure that Jewish identity would not reassert itself in the region. As part of this, he renamed Judea to Syria Palaestina around 135 CE.
2. Hadrian’s Policies: The Erasure of Jewish Identity
Hadrian’s choice to rename the province "Syria Palaestina" was deeply significant. Historians have debated the exact reasons for this name change, but it was likely intended to erase the Jewish connection to the land by replacing the name Judea, which had been tied to the Jewish people for centuries, with a name that had associations with the ancient Philistines, a people who had long since disappeared from the region.
The use of the term "Palestina" (derived from "Philistia") was particularly strategic in that it served to distance the land from its Jewish heritage. Hadrian's actions included banning Jewish religious practices and forcing the Jews to scatter, enforcing Roman domination, and using the name to reflect the broader imperial goals of suppressing rebellion and extinguishing the identity of the local population.
Roman historian Dio Cassius recorded these events in his work "Roman History," where he described the aftermath of the Bar Kokhba revolt and the mass exile of Jews from Judea. He also mentioned Hadrian’s decision to rename the province as a means to prevent the resurgence of Jewish nationalism. According to Cassius, Hadrian had “taken away their identity” and sought to “obliterate their history.”
3. Historical Context of the Roman Empire's Influence
Hadrian’s renaming was not just a superficial action; it reflected the larger Roman policy of cultural assimilation and suppression. By renaming the land and prohibiting Jewish presence in Jerusalem, Rome sought to prevent any future rebellions and maintain control over the region. Hadrian’s renaming was part of a broader Roman strategy that sought to impose imperial order through the destruction of local identities.
In the context of Roman imperialism, Hadrian’s renaming of the region can be seen as an effort to stabilize the empire. Rome had a long history of incorporating conquered territories but also of erasing the local culture and imposing Roman customs and names.
4. Modern Implications and the Legacy of Hadrian’s Decree
The legacy of Hadrian's decision to rename the region has had a lasting impact on the identity of the land. The use of the name "Palestine" continued through the centuries, particularly during the Ottoman Empire and the British Mandate in the 20th century. During the British Mandate (1917–1948), the term "Palestine" was used to describe a geographical region, without reference to any specific ethnic or national identity.
The impact of Hadrian's renaming is deeply felt today in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The modern political struggle has become entangled with the historical question of identity, ownership, and the legacy of imperial powers.
The modern use of the name "Palestine" is contentious because of its association with Roman actions in the 2nd century. Many Jews view the term as a continuation of Roman oppression and an erasure of their historical and spiritual connection to the land. On the other hand, Palestinian Arabs, who later identified with the name, have used it as part of their own national narrative, which evolved in the 20th century under British and later Arab nationalist movements.
5. Roman Responsibility: A Complex Historical Legacy
There is a powerful argument to be made that Rome, as the imperial power that enacted these policies, bears a form of responsibility for the dislocation and ongoing identity struggles in the region. Emperor Hadrian's efforts to erase Jewish identity and rename the land contributed directly to the complex situation in the modern Middle East.
Though the Roman Empire is long gone, the implications of its policies continue to reverberate. The division between Jewish and Palestinian identities, shaped by centuries of external domination and suppression, remains one of the most contentious issues in the region today.
While the modern state of Israel traces its roots back to the ancient Jewish kingdoms of Judea and Israel, the history of the region's shifting control—from Roman times, through the Islamic conquest, the Crusader period, the Ottoman Empire, and the British Mandate—has contributed to the ongoing conflict over national identity and territorial claims. The renaming of Judea to "Syria Palaestina" represents just one chapter in the long history of this land, but its reverberations can still be felt in the contemporary struggles of the peoples who claim it as their home.
Conclusion
Hadrian's renaming of Judea to Syria Palaestina was a calculated move to suppress Jewish identity and erase the historical memory of the Jewish people in the region. Roman historians like Dio Cassius provide evidence of this deliberate attempt to crush Jewish nationalism after the Bar Kokhba revolt. The legacy of this imperial policy remains a crucial aspect of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict today, with the historical and cultural connections of the Jewish people to the land of Israel continuing to be contested in the modern era. The responsibility for these legacies, while shared by multiple powers throughout history, ultimately stems from the Roman imperial actions that sought to obliterate Jewish sovereignty and identity in the land.
if you read history you'll learn that Jews fought Palestinians back in 1050 BC
