For the record: Our two sons spent Boy Scout Summer Camps in the Everglades. They slept in
WWII style moldy pup tents on smelly bare canvas cots (no mattress/sheets). The "bathroom" had three urinals and three stalls for 40 boys. They were warned to use the bathroom before bedtime and NOT BEYOND because in this kind of swamp, there are only two things outside at night: alligators and alligator food.
They earned their swim qualification badge by paddling around in a snake infested swamp puddle. They could only work the sunny hours because the daily thunderstorms dumped a deluge of rain making the pathways into muddy slip & slides. They were expected to read in their tents until the storm ended which was tricky because every tent leaked like a sieve.
Illegal VICIOUS CRIMINALS have air conditioning, bright lighting, clean clothes, fresh water, immaculate bathrooms, free healthcare (with admission medical screening), access to legal counsel, and three square meals a day. The entire compound is clear of brush that would conceal threats from local fauna.
