She looks a little like Lauryn hill here ❤
Not your fault? You needed money so you wouldn’t wind up as Florence , homeless, then continue as you do but Miss Ross lent you the money you so desperately needed when you most needed it, yes, you paid it back, as you wrote in “your book” with interest, but despite clearly having increasing animosity for a lead singer making a name for herself
If you spoke about me as you continue to do her then you shouldn’t have either asked or borrowed the money let alone have her as one of your children’s Godmother, I couldn’t read the book anymore….
Miss Ross held her own & I would think singing lead has a big responsibility to it than standing back with that seems the case today-people are no longer the same. Maybe she wasn’t the friend you would have always wanted, just because you know someone since you all were 14 l lol rant you were the best of friends. I didn’t read from you doing anything other than supplying background vocals in your book which shows you haven’t grown up.
I've been watching all of Mary Wilson's interviews…I just loved her honesty, humbleness, kindness, and she continued to honor Flo. Now Diana, I don't do her. She always worked my nerves.

the interviewer was a bit of an ass.
13:32 says it all. Diana did not have many, dear friends. There's clearly a reason for that. I love Diana Ross, the performer. She's the best of the best. No one can touch her. It just seems to me that she could never really be a true, caring friend, especially to another woman. She seems like a wonderful mother, though, and her family are her friends, more or less, and that's her social life to a certain extent outside of any business contacts. I guess it's just a by-product of going after what she wanted and the price one has to pay for it.
Glad I could experience interview. Thank you.
I love this interview.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤👑
Mary Wilson and Syleena Johnson are look alike
Ross was a conniving witch. As popular as she was she was NOT the greatest singer, NOT the greatest actress, NOT a good person. She may have ended up with all the money and fame but she never learned to get Respect you had to give Respect. Her days are coming to an end and Flo will finally get her justice.
I agree with Mary. Stone Love is my favorite.
Mary Wilson is a beautiful Pieces. She deserves 2 RIP.
Lol, there was definitely some shade thrown in here😂
I could not help but noticed that when they asked her what she was doing besides the book, she said the same things throughout the decades – that she is touring, coming out with a new album, trying to get into acting. We all know what that really means!
In review, I got the feeling that Mary enjoyed the attention of getting interviewed and remembered without Diana being having been around.
I didn't know my man came out of Detroit media.
Ms.MARY WILSON* you are a BEAUTIFUL, SMART, BLACK WOMAN, well spoken!! I will forever 😘 L
OMG, those Whitney Houston kinda eyes! She was beautiful!
She was just a sweet foxy chick & lady , really gorgeous to eye candy 🍬🍭 to me 🐯
aw mary singing her background part in the song 27:35 she was so cute i miss her
19:48 such a beautiful sultry voice
I had the pleasure of hanging out with Mary and her hairdresser at BB KINGS.This was in the early 2000s We were all there to see Ronnie Spector perform. We sat together and waited till the end to go backstage. She was so nice and down to earth. I have photos somewhere.I hope I find them.
On any other label, you the Temptations Steve Wonder would have been dropped
as you all took too long to get a hit
record, also for good or bad no other record company of the time would not
have developed all these groups
Berry Gordy might not have been a Angel
but he was a great leader a great man
RIP to the Motown great
My heart still skips a beat when I see Mary. So gracious and stunning!
This woman, may she Rest In Peace… but let’s be fair. We know that she was not always truthful
As much as I loved Mary when it came to interviews her story would change from the books and it irritated those that interviewed her. I would get frustrated myself at times cause if you’re gonna tell a story then stick with it not try to make it softer because once written you can’t take it back because it settled in folks heads. I think as she got older she became unafraid to standby what she said and just a few years ago she finally opened up why she didn’t stand up for Flo at that ugly meeting at BG house and how she felt having to train Cindy while performing on stage with Flo. I waited for many years for her to tell that side of the story fully. I miss her so.
I totally agree! Mary Wilson was a great singer and really pretty woman. This interview was done some time in 1986 when Mary was about 42 here. She looked amazing. Wishing she was still around. May she rest in peace.
May she Rest In Peace . Thank you Mary !!
What a Beauty ……… inside and out 🙏🏽❤️
You are winning Ms. Mary!❤️❤️❤️
RIP Mary my favourite special supreme
I thought it was Whitney Houston for a minute.
Mary Wilson is absolutely beautiful. Ed Gordon is so mischievous and fun in doing the interview. But Mary is so clever as to not let him catch her. Such skill on both their parts. They both made the interview fun to watch and listen to.
Rest-in peace my sister!
Excellent discussion.
I need to read her book. R I P
I would not be flying half way around the world for anybody. Mary was wild, lol.
These women got around. Maybe Florence didn't fit in with them.
I think it's strange that nobody gives Florence credit for picking Diana and Diana getting Mary and they start with Paul Williams and Eddie Kendricks. The Primes and the Primettes. The story goes, Florence was sitting outside on the steps of the projects. Eddie Kendricks and their Manager Milton Jenkins. Milton asked her if they sing and history was made. Florence deserves some credit and MIlton as well.
Wow, Ed Gordon In His Prime👅
Long Live Mary Wilson!!!💘
she was a a great interview and a beautiful lady. she was supreme. R.I.P mary.
