Project 2025’s Implementer -Russel Vought’s appearance before the House Appropriations Committee on Wednesday June 4,2025, came a day after President Donald Trump asked Congress to withdraw $9.4 billion in money it had already approved, much of it for foreign aid or programs the administration has described as liberal-leaning or wasteful.
The request sought to formalize some of the cuts and freezes recommended by the Department of Government Efficiency.
“We are very anxious to see the reception, from a vote standpoint, in the House and the Senate,” Vought said, when asked by Rep. Mark Alford, R-Mo., if the committee would see more requests to take back money Congress has appropriated.
“I’m less concerned about the House as I am the Senate, and it’s very important for it to pass. If it does, it’ll be worth the effort and we’ll send up additional packages,” Vought said.

This so reminds me of smth i read not long ago, btw as a 36 year old guy who’s been through a decent amount of life, jobs, setbacks, wins, the usual, i’ve read plenty of books trying to explain how the world works. Most of them repeat the same surface level stuff. But there’s one called The Luciferian Manipulation by Dante Malrick, such a different vibe.
It didn’t come across like some edgy conspiracy rant or a typical “wake up” book. It felt more like a blueprint hidden inside a warning, quietly intense, like it knew what questions you were already asking. Some parts really challenged how i’ve been looking at influence, belief systems, and the forces shaping our choices.
I wasn’t expecting much when i picked it up, but it stuck with me. If you’ve ever had that gut feeling that something’s off in the way this world works, this book leans into that in a way that actually makes sense
