President Trump and Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency have placed a target on the U.S. federal workforce.

You're right legacy media, we need to cut even more
You want to cut wasteful government spending? Start with Defense.
Most of these people (especially the "administrators" and "contractors") do absolutely NOTHING. And they get paid a small fortune, with ridiculous benefits that no other industry gets. 90% are dems, who then donate to dems to keep the gravy train rolling.
The contracts with KBR has to be the biggest waste I feel. The military already have an abundance of cooks yet they still need civilian contractors to do their jobs at the defacs especially during deployment.
For dividend investors, cryptocurrency is a wise option, particularly in erratic markets. It seems like a safe long-term investment due to its steady dividend increase and strong track record. In order to strike a balance between stability and growth, particularly as we manage the effects of rising interest rates, I'm concentrating on cryptocurrencies like DOGE.
Most government jobs are just a big jobs program. Completely ridiculous that any court would say a worker paid for with tax dollars has “entitlement” to their job. Beyond ridiculous.
How about we address our federal income? Trump tax cuts..DISAPPEAR!
Notice how zero Congress or Senate staff have been reduced..
tax cuts for the wealty and military budget needs to be cut and certainly not increased *FUKmaga
Wait until the impact is felt by the thousands of loyal federal employees who were fired and then rehired with back pay. That includes missed health insurance payments, unpaid invoices, non-payment of debts owed from other countries or individuals. This move will cost more than years of pay for each employee. They don’t know that the benefits of a buyout cannot be realized for at least 2 years after it occurs. Also, they are not offered to anyone in a critical or understaffed position by those who know the mission of the organization and ensure there is enough capable staff to be successful.
Now you have thousands of disgruntled employees who through no fault of their own are far behind on their assignments and are not sure if they will be around to complete them. In their defense, why should they worry about anything other than their own situations, since their employer who did previously, now does not.
This was done to perpetuate the lie that there is out of control waste and fraud but fired those who were working diligently to identify and prevent people like musk from illegally profiting from tax payers. Now small, minority, women and veteran owned companies will be forced out of business as government contracts go to the billionaires for much higher fees.
If you’re voted for trump congratulations. You screwed yourself and your friends and families.
The usaid we have starving people at home no I don’t want my taxes sent over seas
Private sector is better than the government sector.
5:38 "what goes to the federal government doesn't go to individuals or businesses" i have NEVER heard anything so out of touch in my life.
Federal dollars unquestionably go to businesses (food stamps go to grocery stores, Medicare goes to clinics, etc) at a better ROI that a lot of private equity. And wages! Wages go to people who are paying mortgages and buying school supplies, and those wages are taxed, going to roads and more.
You're not gonna reduce the size of government by just moving those dollars from workers and contracting companies (individuals and businesses, aka).
It's fine to try to cut waste spending, but you need to identify where the spending needs to be cut first, then take action. The Unites States is a big country with millions and millions of people. You can't effectively run a country this size with a skeleton crew. That just is not sensible and that's what this administration is trying to do. It's like having a champagne taste on a beer budget. It just does not happen that way. That's the reality of it.
This is FAKE NEWS. Why? The bloat is in the U.S. defense department budget.
The government is not bloated; if anything, we need to hire more people for our growing population. Every government agency is understaffed. Have you ever been to the DMV?
corporations are the new citizens
My question : are these employees are really valuable to our “tax money”, If so I would say Elon is wrong, unfortunately most people doesn’t have his intelligence, if this problem don’t solve now, the country will be broken not far away and normal people doesn’t have the eyes for it.
DOGE motto :billionaires dont want to pay taxes, the poor can starve. They are trying to take us back to working ppl working day and night for pennies.
9:52 that a dude
What a joke – when will the federal government balance the budget? Despite the good work by DOGE to find waste, the budget deficit will again be immense. Cut defense spending and offend the military industrial complex and companies like Lockheed? Don't count on it. We need to adopt the 15% wealth tax on billionaries proposed by President Trump.
The Federal work force reductions and the buy-outs did not carefully consider assuring responsibilities of the Federal workforce were properly passed on. Certainly Donald Trump and Elon Musk did not consider these responsibilities and probably are quite unaware of them. These responsibilities includes nuclear and select agents. We will feel the effects of that in the future and perhaps they will be costly effects and perhaps they will be deadly effects.
Interested how they are gonna make this a bad thing
Yes. They will.
Next.
They kept making jobs for people who make over 90k that were not justified.
A common mistake most of the interviewees make in the video is, it's not about if the tax is/was spent on the good causes, but the efficiency of how the money is/was spent. Say $100 tax money is granted to provide food for starving people abroad but in the end $80 was spent on bureaucracy or other unnecessary programs not directly related to feeding the starving people.
I bet the government does have some bloat, for several reasons.
Programs and budgets are set by Congress and are not easily adjusted. That is the cost of democracy.
Moreover, a lot of government activities represent compromises.
Also you have no simple objective like a business with a focus on the single objective of making profits. Alleviating poverty, helping the disadvantaged, stopping pollution, national security, police and fire protection, consumer protection, fostering competition, and worker safety, just to name a few.
Civil service rules that protect employee rights are also a contributor. But the alternative is to let the Executive Branch hire and fire at will. That was done in the past, resulting in a huge patronage system of jobs and less qualified people hired for political allegiance. Just look at what Trump has done with the thousands he already appointed – relatives and supporters (especially billionaires) not qualified for the positions.
Yes, we need to get rid of any deadwood – but do so without criplling the programs and benefits they provide people. It should not be slash and burn but carefully analyzed cuts. The "cutters" need to look not only at the cost savings but the impact on services and benefits.
Trump is using slash and burn not just to eliminate bloat but to eliminate programs he does not like – despite the laws providing for the agencies, programs, and services. Trump is illegally cutting programs and impounding funds appropriated by Congress.
We should be demanding that Trump and Musk describe the impacts of their cuts in money and personnel for each agency- what will be the decline in programs and services. What analysis supports their action?
The Constitution provides that Congress makes the laws and determines funding and that the Executive Branch merely executes the laws and spends the money directed by Congress. Congress is the place to debate changes with full consideration of the costs and benefits. Trump provides no analysis of the costs and benefits of his chopping or even an awareness of the people hurt by his program cuts.
Amazon has fewer workers and is more efficient
When i read comments liberals are incapable of sticking to the topic without blaming… Justify the jobs. I rather them cut it all out then rebuild instead of taking forever thats the issue with democrats. Each policy is to buy time and send it to the next.
BS…the media always give talking points that are in line with their views and how they want you to think.
It's bloated, but the difference is going to be made when bank accounts will be frozen and charges filed in the fraud of politicians involved in taking taxpayer money. Hell is coming !!! We the people will be paid back . Thank you 😊
After having lived in the DC area for 30 years I can insure you that as bad as u think it is, it's 10 times worse
We don't need 400+ members of congress.
A huge majority of the work is done by contractors because there aren't enough government staff. GOP has been underfunding for years so everyone would say, "See how terrible our government is."
Not bloated. Understaffed.
Ya gotta eat the elephant one bite at a time
