The shutdown falls on the president so it’s the President Trump shutdown. Congress should not be getting paid when government employees are not. The house certainly should not be paid since they are not present and working. There are other things they can be doing other than working on the budget.

Obama had it at 77% even with full Obamacare. Clinton had it at 30%. once the debt is back to 50% of GDP, we can mandate a balanced budget for perpetuity, so that it never gets dangerously high again. if we don't bring the federal debt down, the American empire will surely collapse, just as the Roman, Spanish, French, British, and Soviet empires collapsed. the elite know this, and that's why, because of greed, they have decided, instead of paying their fair share of taxes, to follow The Terminator movie script. they have deceived the majority of Republicans into thinking that they are Christian, although we can tell by their actions that they clearly are not — if you don't understand why you don't understand Jesus. the same can be said by their convincing Republicans that they are patriots, when they certainly are not, when they overrule the US Constitution and secretly install fascism (project 2025.) the Republican politicians realize most of the Republican voters will wake up soon to the reality of their lies, which is why they're busy trying to rig future elections and trying to bait violent protests to install martial law. America is currently at stage 5 of 7 stages of empire collapse. even if the first Trump and Biden administrations had a valid reason of Covid to have a dangerously high debt, Trump has no excuse for adding 3.4 trillion to the Debt with his Big Billionaire Bill. the debt is currently at 125% of GDP, higher than it was during WWII. interest on the debt is now higher than the military budget. in a nutshell, what needs to be done immediately is the Joint Chiefs of Staff needs to overthrow the Presidency, due to the emergency. they can legally do it, because they swore an oath to defend the Constitution and America from enemies within.
