As a private citizen I do not bear the burden of my opinion being criticized in the public forum. You obviously have been a subject of this burden in multiple facets. My opinion may be of little weight in forming any of your own but, as an elected official, I respectfully ask that you hear it.
The case for impeachment of the sitting President is a matter of constitutional import. The governance of our country requires deference to its laws.
I request that you formally remove this citizen from any list of those opposing impeachment.
More importantly, I take umbrage with a metric that suggests that the will of the people is the arbiter as to whether to proceed with the process of impeaching our sitting President. It is not public opinion but legal precedents that should govern you and Congress in this matter. I shall not enter into details of the laws you yourself have sworn to protect, but will only conclude that the future of our country is built daily by the action and inactions of our government. Inaction at this juncture is a serious threat to the checks and balances model which must be honored if our democracy is to survive. Your power is unique and your role crucial.
Please appreciate I felt it my duty as a voter to have my voice be heard. I hope it will galvanize you in your duty.
