Giving a teenager a permanent record because they got in a fight at school is simply stupid. Your kids have hormones raging when I grow up into school it was no reason to have a record for that. We should not expect our kids to be perfect. Learn from their mistakes just like you were. I’ll learn from ours, but we have more maturity than a teenager. Stupid don’t make it a permanent record. Just plan out ignorant

We need this Scared Straight tactic in Houston Harris county jails. We might have this program I don't know.

@Kathleenherd488 March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

These laws have got to change now. These kids are worse off when released due to more emotional abuse. Our children rather die / commit suicide and that is not okay. The 23hrs spent in a small room ect. leaves these kids more likely to go INSANE!! See Something
Say Something
DO SOMETHING for our next generation don't treat them as animals, mental illness is no joke. Put more money in rehabilitation than abusing them further. ☮ ❤ go a long way.

@TheMeJustMe75 March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

I wonder how many of these kids are illegals?

@TheMeJustMe75 March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

The highschool I went to you didn't have to really worry about fights or drugs. We had to worry about straight A students flipping out if they made a B.

@michellelewis5758 March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

😂😂😂😂😂 Stephanie does weird things when nobody's looking for a bunch of people like them officers and usually they do it when they're on the clock😂😂😂

@michellelewis5758 March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

That's crazy all they're locked up 23 hours a day but in the paperwork in the brochures that they give to the people who are paying for it it specifies how they have all these extracurricular activities and programs and education and working and counseling how could they possibly do all that when they're locked up 23 hours a day and they're making dumb videos like this the other hour of the day huh😊😊😊

@michellelewis5758 March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

Oh I guess they do that cuz they don't think that these guys would want to have sex with someone that looked and acted like a man but boy or they wrong I don't think anybody cares anymore what they do to anybody or anything obviously

@michellelewis5758 March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

And why do they keep hiring angry lesbian women

@michellelewis5758 March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

And how the hell do you get $30,000 to $60,000 per prisoner and you're not doing anything for them You're not doing anything for the . They give an inmate two outfits to reuse their whole sentencing but these m********** got brand new fresh suits fresh hats like who the f*** does a f*** if you have a hat.. everything about this is wrong

@michellelewis5758 March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

I really don't know what's worse the prison system or the education system or the economic system it seems like all of these systems have everybody going to hell the children are taught by the same people who end up re-prisoning them later and trying to reform them it didn't work the first time when you did it when they were in school and it's not going to work now so now all you really doing is being funny and wasting people's money and time and letting all the hate out of your heart that you can't let out in front of normal people because you would look like a f**** a******🎉🎉

@michaelarnold9445 March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

Well back soup line huggy

@tommylarson7219 March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

Once discipline was removed from our schools and most of the homes, we failed this generation. Their parents grossly failed them because children thrive with discipline and expectations and when there is nothing expected of them, that’s what you get. When there is no accountability and they are never held accountable for poor choices, this is what happens. While these teens put themselves where they are from their choices, their parents are also responsible because they shouldn’t have had children if werent going to raise them properly.

@lindseypepall5562 March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

That’s so sad that he killed himself and for being locked up for a crime he didn’t commit RIP young man

@matthewseamans6830 March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

Stephanie or Steve is an evil man

@ramonsmediablog March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

Commit adult crimes, face adult consequences. Mind you lots of youth get away with such crimes, dependent on the state.

@AfG_313 March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

That was me 16 years old with 8 year sentence but I did bad thing truly

@carltaylor5251 March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

I say no because the incarnation of young people. Is big business especially with the private prison system. I hope and pray that the young generation today. Pay close attention because they're not playing with you. There's no more detention, in school suspension, parent teacher conferences etc. Now if you get into trouble. There's no more meeting in the Principal's office. You'll end up in Family Court. And now you'll have big trouble.

@darla4042 March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

My heart breaks for Austin! Texas laws are soooooo insanely harsh for children and even adults! Yes he needed to face consequences but he was never given the slightest chance of parole and signed documents he didn't fully understand that revoked his right to a trial. By the time he gets out his whole life has been institutionalized and he will know nothing else but that. The challenges he will face as a 50 yr old man put back in a society that he won't even recognize much less know how to navigate is crippling! They might as well have given him life! I hope he continues his education there, learns skills so he can work once released, and someone teaches him how to do basic life skills like banking, credit, and how to pay bills appropriately. God, they just threw him to the wolves literally. Praying for that young man! Texas DO BETTER for your people especially your young! I cannot stand the politics and laws in Texas. Its unjust. We do not have the death penalty in WA state and give our youth so many resources and opportunities to rehabilitate and do well in the world. Not all take them of course, but we see far less recidivism than Texas.

@darla4042 March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

What's interesting to me is that so many states want to defund the police and we cry and moan over having too much of a police presence yet most of our states big cities are facing enormous drug and homelessness problems and then we've got other states where school shootings are a common threat. WA state had less of an issue with school threats and more issues with drug culture and widespread homelessness. Our country really needs to get it together with supporting our armed officers. Most have good intentions and want to protect communities. There's always some who are complete jerks and just there for a badge and a pay check but most really do have our best interests at heart but they need our support bc many cities and towns are facing crisis with a lack of people wanting to even be an officer. Seattle has so many issues they are facing challenges with simply finding people who want to be hired in Seattle because of defunding and so many people committing major crimes.

@rucky_665 March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

14:23 Massive schools packed with students everywhere, one can barely walk, it looks like a prison and I bet the staff barely know the students. The USA is a terrible country that only works for rich people.

@theyoutubeguy1 March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

In the UK a police car showing up to the school was an event, it's crazy how involved police are in U.S schools.

@Reesy2002 March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

7:23 The officer bragging about how much she enjoys tying people up should not be working with ANY KIND OF AUTHORITY. She shouldn't eveb be an officer. She's the type that will start unnecessary trouble with the inmates, so she can punish them. These are the worst ones to work with.

@Reesy2002 March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

I DIDN'T COME TO JAIL. I WAS BROUGHT TO JAIL!

@macielrain6598 March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

@IvanValerioCortesi March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

If parents can't discipline their children, then the correctional system will do the job that parents should do…
Nothing more Nothing less

@brianscott9861 March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

Really, people are not stupid. Shame on you. I'm far from perfect but this is so wrong. I'd never submit to my young child to be accapable for this. This is so wrong!!!

@BattyBrat0 March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

Shock program? So basically scared straight?

Anonymous March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

So he had one schoolyard fight and now he’s in prison? What!?

@georgeroberts442 March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

It’s pronounced “Bear County,” not “Bex-are” County.

@Squashylemon March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

Because 70 years ago when people accidently had kids or had to many they could afford to raise them on their salaries it may not have been comfortable but, they could still do it. Today you have 1 child and you're renting a studio living with other people, working 10-12 hours a day and still begging for help…. Not exactly the best way to grow up.

@mackbrown8411 March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

If the law would stay out of family business children now days wouldn't be setting in jail or prison when i was a kid you messed up your ass got whipped no if and buts to it!!!

@werewolflover8636 March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

You know I hear young people often yell that they should be treated equally and have the same rights as adults, well with rights comes responsibility and when you commit adult crimes you will be punished as adults!

@MichaelBrown-h1o March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm

Turning children into informants is scary business. It’s so extremely risky for children and they get coerced into doing dangerous things under duress.

@DavidLloyd-c7c March 1, 2025 - 5:33 pm
