Instead of picking flowers, why not just take care of chickens and plant vegetables? So the kids can go to school.

Next should be the hair industry l. Why are people harvesting baby hairs? What are you cutting children's hair n selling for a fortune. Especially Africans!

Bulls*it! The parents take the children with because they can't leave them alone in the house. Our parents did the same. That's not childrens labor😡

Poor Basmalla she is forced to work as an adult getting her eyesight ruined and on top of that she goes to a quran school being brainwashed.
And while we at child labor and beauty products there is illegal child workers in India’s mica mines. Mica is the glitter used in makeup.

The GREED! in this world is sickening!! 😭

It has to be the FARMS secretly stealing the money directly from their employees.
The masters should cough up enough so their farmers are not stealing the wages of their employees. For if wages are more than fair for everyone involved the parents would not have to force kids to pick flowers on their behalf.
I am seeking ethical companies and natural wholistic alternatives. Between the cheap labor and chemicals its a very disgusting trade. 😢I hope something changes fast in the right direction for the jasmine pickers

The more we learn the truth, the more I hate big cooperations and the fake celebrities who think they are saving the world just trash.

@eclecticemma February 20, 2025 - 6:26 pm

The international laws are just fake and pathetic.
They don't care about human rights.

UNICEF, instead of spending money on little books and nonsense, should allocate it to these children. I am very disappointed in organizations that collect money and do not help.🤦🏻‍♀️💔

The fact that millions of people are bying perfumes not even thinking about where they come from…the sadest part is probably that a lot of famous people are advertising perfumes coming from such an inhumane conditions as these are…just hoping the world's gonna wake up soon 😔
Sometimes it feels like humanity, shame and moral have left this world 🥲

Why is the government of Egypt not ensuring their children arent working in the fields?

@ToLovelyJesus February 20, 2025 - 6:26 pm

I’m ready to leave the “West”. All of the comforts we take for granted come to us at the unjust expense of others. I’m sick of it. And I won’t listen to scare tactics about how “it isn’t better anywhere else”. It might not be. But I want to live a life I don’t have to feel guilty about.

@vandaking6022 February 20, 2025 - 6:26 pm

Not even proper gear and uniform to protect their hands n skin???😢 c'mon now…wickedness

It is often the most known brands who are the biggest thieves. Their "brand" over shadows all human rights. Their brand doesn't show at all how it is made. Only vage colours, fabrics and car parts, sell their bottle. But in my opinion their guarantees at company level are a mirror of their brand. All who applyfor certificates, pay for the sustainment labels, but at the end it is more about being a supplier, than a company who cares about human rights, environmental safety.
When I see monocultures, like these Yasmine bushes on a dark black ground… I know enough, there they LOVE their pesticides. When they love pesticides, there is no love for employers, nature or any other value important for life. Than there is only attention on efficiency, lower cost and higher yield. Often followed by big disasters…. Like no human rights, large scale polution, poisoning of workers and many people will get ill. But Brands will always shine by advertisement and extreme pricing. We need the United Nations to get a grip on this. When child labor and a big brand are connected. We should ban them 5 years for making advertisement and marketing! Companies NEED to be and do good, to have a right of profit!
