The idea of Rock being dead is the same as the concept of Hip Hop being Dead. Nas made an album playing devils advocate saying it was dead yet argued on his own album saying it was alive and well. Rock and Hip Hop music is still alive because people are still respecting it and creating it. The radio doesnt truly represent new Rock and Hip Hop so it seems dead…
The only thing that is dead is KISS Merch.
KISS ArmyâĻâĻ.LOL !
People would rather listen to cheap lyrics no instrumentation
LIKE taylir swift ect..they don't write music anymore rock is dead
Donât forget, Gene went very liberal and demanded everyone get the vaxâĻ..or they were the enemy
Hey Bill, tell Gene to ask Trump to repeal the telecommunications act of 1996 which in essence killed music.
Rock was deliberately taken out of the lime đâđŠ light, by those who controll the music industry! It had served it's purpose, and it was time for evermore degenerate forms of sub-musicianship, i.e. rap and dance! Gene đ§Ŧ $emen$ is not giving you the real reason!
Why does "Planet of the Apes" come to mind, everytime Gene đ§Ŧ $emen$ is interviewed? đ
Ive seen a decay in rock music for many years now. Rock is dead and it is never coming back! I remember in 2015 , our local Clasic Rock station that had been around for decades, got reformatted to hip pop/rap station. Then this year our local AM 60s-70s oldies, got reformatred to political talk radio, AM/FM radio is dead. Culturally, you hear people playing hip pop, pop country,…you almost never hear rock n roll playing anywhere. Rock n Roll still lives on with me in my household but culturally these days youp never hear it played. 50s Rock n Roll is completely erased. I doubt teenagers today even know who Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Check Berry, etc.
I know who my great grandfather was daddy. Yes, I have still have freckles. I'm going to sue you.
The end of Rock-N-Roll occurred in the late 70âs.
Gene has been saying this same speech for a decade
We donât need any more rock groups. We have all the music we need from that genre and now itâs free!
KISS still banks when they do concerts.
Small bands could make money but these days "If you are not first you are last"
New original creative music is out there and vibrant.
I have been performing and publishing original guitar-oriented music on my channel for 8 years and continuing.
The problem is that finding all this music is akin to finding a needle in a haystack.
Just because Gene's business model doesn't work anymore doesn't mean rock is dead.
If you really love making music you wouldn't care if people downloaded your stuff for free ,I don't think rock is dead at all ,doesn't kiss make millions in touring anyways? So hate on the poor kid becouse you wanna make money everytime someone listens to your song ,all people care about is money which is funny becouse you can't take it with you after you're gone
This is why I listen to old music
Gene đ§Ŧ $emen, looking for attention and more narcissistic supply! đĨ¯
All things must pass
How would he know anything, he was in KISS! A major rock fail.
Indie Rock carries the torch from the Bronx River parkway to Coachella……
Gene , Gene. Bull shittin machine , if ROCK were dead quit chasing the $$$ you money hungry Frankenstein .
B.S !
"Rock is Dead" says the guy who's band put out the disco hit "I Was Made For Lovin' You" and the LP "The Elder".
