She doesn't seem to understand how the internet has changed how people consume information or news. Too many have retreated to an information bubble and don't have the curiosity to question what they're hearing.

I’m not sure we’ve even got balance anymore. The right wing seem to always get more coverage and lots of whitewashing of their bs. Whereas others who are not on the right get hounded/ pushed out/ persecuted for anything that could be deemed as an error/misdemeanour. Too many media outlets are owned by oligarchs who will push any narrative that suits their agenda/ bank balance.

Shes 1000% correct. The media, primarily 24 hour corporate news networks, have given Trump an almost unlimited amount of screen time over the past decade because he was extremely sensationalist and controversial for screentime. They created Trumps political platform for him without him spending a dime. They obviously arent solely to blame, but they are definitely a major contributor, and treatingTrumps politics with any air of normalcy has expanded the overton window massively in favor of Trump and extreme right-wing politics. And furthermore, the incredibly unbalanaced scrutiny from the media between the democratic party and republican party was so blatantly skewed to favor the GOP was insane, it was like requesting a college thesis from one side and an elementary shapes test to the other. Insane.The damage that this is going to create will reverberate for decades on the US and across the globe. Buckle up yall.

The problem is it isn’t balanced most of the time, the major Uk media mostly support the right, the owners of bbc are major right wing doners. If you listen to how they report on the left vs the right they use key words and often depict the left as useless or disadvantaged, when talking about the right their choice of words are always more powerful and endearing.

It’s subtle manipulation tactics, basic psychology. Problem is most of the people who lap it all up won’t do any research for themselves
