Just listen to Chris and Tommy, damn!

@DidYouReadEULA February 16, 2025 - 12:01 am

So much fun on a drum kit backing a good keyboardist with a Leslie…Reese rules!

@DidYouReadEULA February 16, 2025 - 12:01 am

That second song is Albert King's influence personified!

I was there. A lot, lot farther back. But that was a spiritual day. I heard a lot of good music that weekend. But when SRV played voodoo child I think I transcended. The greatest live musical experience of my life.

He picked up little bits of style off a lot of people. Changes keys in the middle of a guitar line. . . . That's Johnny Winter. You can hear T Bone in the both of them but maybe moreso in Jimmy or the licks are more in that style and not fused with other stuff. IOW a Lotta Texas. If you got to hear these guys together then you got your money's worth. They were some good fusion together.

I’m 31 years old and I wish I could have had the chance to see him live before he died.

@stratwrassler February 16, 2025 - 12:01 am

The vibe and energy is so sizzling hot and greasy, and there is a happy joyful playfulness between Jimmy and Stevie.

@brianw8105 February 16, 2025 - 12:01 am

Jimi was absolutely smiling at that rendition of Voodoo Chile

@robertsargent4600 February 16, 2025 - 12:01 am

We really lost a legend when he died i don't think people really realize it yet but what the fuck do i know

@johnkimmel February 16, 2025 - 12:01 am

legend

@79thstreetsoundstage February 16, 2025 - 12:01 am

I saw him for the first and only time on this tour. If you notice he had a plexi-shield between him and the amps. I was sitting on the 9th row left at the Civic Center in OKC. The shield was reflecting the sound right at me. It was so loud I couldn't hear anything but the guitar. I was OK with that. Left ear never recovered.

@NeldaRingsborg-io2ly February 16, 2025 - 12:01 am

LOVE THAT GUITAR❤❤❤😊

@Daniel-hz2gg February 16, 2025 - 12:01 am

Just a couple of months prior to his death. Saw him live in the 80s.

@jonasnilsson7212 February 16, 2025 - 12:01 am

There is something about this concert that just blows me away, cant put my finger on it but its just so good.

@465marko February 16, 2025 - 12:01 am

5:56 I had to rewatch this a few times because I honestly wondered how he could possibly keep playing all that through a guitar change!!??
(He's not, I'm pretty sure the audio skips ahead to the start of the song while the video skips ahead at around 6:08 so it's totally out of sync for a little bit…… I think, anyway…..?)

@dereckstark5034 February 16, 2025 - 12:01 am

whats the first song

@richardmascaro9115 February 16, 2025 - 12:01 am

I was there! Probably a few feet away from the camera man. I was 12 and with my older brother, on his shoulders and I will never forget it! This is what made love music in a different way!

I could see the sweat coming off of his eyebrows and have never forgotten it!

RIP SRV

@lynnejones862 February 16, 2025 - 12:01 am

@ajax428 February 16, 2025 - 12:01 am

@doverman6227 February 16, 2025 - 12:01 am
