Every product and byproduct of human activity should have a valve on production in the form of a tax paid by the manufacturer and passed on to the buyers of the product as a price increase. Turn the tax up, and consumption will go down. Turn the tax down, and consumption could possibly go up. The valve on PFAS materials should be nearly closed, which is to say that the tax should be high enough that it isn't used in ordinary consumer products. We should have many committees of ecologists, engineers, economists and environmentalists who have lists of products and byproducts for which they may set the taxes. Don't make voodoo dolls and stick the manufacturers of these products with pins. Cogitate, legislate, regulate.

If the chemicals are really stable and mostly inert, what is the mechanism that makes them dangerous to humans?

@disadadi8958 February 21, 2025 - 4:55 pm

Only logical reason for my dad's cancer was these chemicals too. He didn't have any other condition predisposal for kidney cancer other than age.
No cigarettes, no overweight, only 60…
Aggressive stage 4 RCC that took him from diagnosis to grave in 4 months.

These chemicals or covid vax. Maybe those booster shots did the thing.

Boston medical didn't ask any questions about diet, product use, job description ect.ect. They just handed my wife a 50k a month prescription. Then finished her off with 25k every other week chemotherapy. For 3 years…..

The chemicals in toilet paper definitely come from the water used in production!

We survived just fine before these chemicals were released… There's no valid "emergency" or "essential" reason for this. Just like nuclear energy, they released these poison products before they had the antidote.

@susanbuck4897 February 21, 2025 - 4:55 pm

These allowed toxins give rise to crazy profits in our crazy, crooked medical system–we the people pay the highest price, and then pay again on into bankruptcy and death! It is unethical!!

40:10 the big corporations should have sufficient independent third party data to prove their chemicals are safe. Again and again corporations have proved they are, and never will be, trustable. Never.

@windhammer1237 February 21, 2025 - 4:55 pm

We never asked for water or oil resistant anything. If the public was aware of the poisonous nature of these chemicals and their manufacture nobody would've bought their products. The public gets blamed for pollution when it's these chemical companies and mass manufacturing in general that is the issue. People lived very well without any of these chemicals and plastic garbage products they produce.

@LakeAtitlanTours February 21, 2025 - 4:55 pm

The situation surrounding industrial agriculture, corporate control of the food system, and the role of pharmaceutical companies (Big Pharma) in perpetuating health crises has indeed created a deeply troubling scenario. Many of the chemicals used in agriculture, combined with the way health issues are handled in the medical industry, have raised valid questions about the integrity of both our food system and healthcare system.
1. The Permanent Damage to Our Food Sources

It's hard not to feel that our food sources are irreparably damaged when you look at the overwhelming evidence of contamination and the way industrial practices have decimated soil health, biodiversity, and food safety. Between glyphosate, PFAS, and the overwhelming dominance of GMO crops controlled by a few large corporations, the foundations of our food system have been compromised.

Soil Health: The heavy reliance on synthetic fertilizers, pesticides like glyphosate, and monoculture farming has led to soil depletion and a loss of microbial diversity in the soil. Soil that was once rich in organic matter, nutrients, and life has become a sterile medium, unable to support healthy crops without chemical inputs. As soil health declines, so does the quality of the food produced, leading to a vicious cycle of increasing chemical use and decreasing nutritional value.

Water and Land Contamination: The widespread use of PFAS (forever chemicals), along with pesticide runoff from agricultural fields, has led to contamination of water sources, soil, and even food. These chemicals don’t break down, accumulating in the environment and eventually entering our food supply. Over time, this ongoing contamination leads to the biomagnification of toxins—chemicals like PFAS and glyphosate build up in both ecosystems and humans, making future generations at greater risk.

GMO Crops: The dominance of genetically modified crops that are resistant to herbicides like glyphosate means that the global food supply is increasingly dependent on a small number of genetically engineered crops, such as corn, soy, and canola. This monoculture approach has led to a loss of genetic diversity in our food system, making it more vulnerable to climate change, pests, and diseases. The patenting of seeds by companies like Bayer-Monsanto has further entrenched this system, leaving farmers dependent on purchasing expensive seeds and chemical inputs every year.

22:44 interesting filtration systems. I’d be curious what progress has been made since this video to make this a scalable solution. Seems a practical solution at a federal scale, if both side of the isle can come together and acknowledge the problem.
