I’m sorry the officer that said he doesn’t know if killing was really going on? He didn’t want to get killed?! Are you effing kidding me? Serve and protect. Protect others, not yourself!

I pray and hope that the victims and their families and friends receive justice ASAP. I cannot imagine the situation these people are having to deal with not ever known if they will be a trial. I wish the victims and their families the very best of luck and I will pray and keep everyone in my thoughts 🙏 ❤ī¸ 💜

I can't believe this school didn't at the very LEAST have metal detectors. Like, we all know what the climate has been like since Columbine..Sandy Hook…etc. Like, I know you will always hope it won't happen, but you still should be prepared for IF it happens.

@bradtretheway9478 February 22, 2025 - 9:16 am

Nobody goes too school too feel "safe" . If you feel safe with 100s of random teenage minds that could snap at any given moment, you arent living in reality girl. Chuckeled when that delusional girl said "everyone goes too school too be safe" NO…you go because its the law. Everyday you make it home youre lucky

@jackyblue67same10 February 22, 2025 - 9:16 am

I remember this almost like it was yesterday . So heartbreaking for all involved even the young shooter .

@04Mgraves February 22, 2025 - 9:16 am

That’s crap. He’s a psychopath and knew exactly what he was doing. He was able to plan and execute his plan. There is no successful treatment for him. His is not mentally ill. Psychopathology is a behavior. Such a cop out

@kaileymims7562 February 22, 2025 - 9:16 am

Cops are all cowards

@Uteria_888 February 22, 2025 - 9:16 am

"I didn't think i could do it."

(Pagourtziz, said this on behalf of his own abilities and twisted sense of awe- he never could imagine that he could be able to slaughter 10 people including, injuring many others… He was in a sense of shock and awe of his own abilities to carry out mass murder.

@tøvar071 February 22, 2025 - 9:16 am

Instead of addressing the gun issues this country rather spend money on equipping schools and teachers with technology to make an active shooter situation “easier.”

Even children dying will never make America make changes

@krisrobb7709 February 22, 2025 - 9:16 am

That officer in the green is fantastic. Riveting narrator/speaker.

@zacharysmama1996 February 22, 2025 - 9:16 am

To the parents of the children… I am also a parent who lost my son to senseless crime. I did not receive an arrest of the perpetrator, no trial, not conclusion. The number one thing I've learned from those around me who have court cases and judgments… a court case/ruling doesn't give you closure. Nothing gives you closure. The crime never should have happened in the first place. The closure comes in making peace with the reality. I know that sounds impossible but it will come.

To Gov Greg Abbott, police, health officials, etc…. stop being REactionary and be PROactionary! Stop trying to stop the bleeding after it happens and look at what can be done to it never happens in the first place! Common sense gun laws, background checks, licenses, and age restrictions laws just to start. You can't drink until your 21 but you can buy a gun at a trade show at 14???? Where's the sense in that??? Give your heads a shake! And get rid of the NRA – it's a useless organization that doesn't help the situation!

@carborundorum February 22, 2025 - 9:16 am

How would CBT help restore him to competency? If medication isn't handling his psychosis, it's doubtful that CBT would do much of anything.

@tak-tical_gaming February 22, 2025 - 9:16 am

What is that dude smoking. You don't gain distance when dealing with a long gun. You close distance. Training dictates you close distance and make contact. And that white lady is full of emotive descriptions and completely absent of any intellectualy or logical input. Arent these people American? Where have they been living. In the hood we learn to deal with gunfire in Elementary school. Sheltered people meet real life

Abbot: ‘I paid them lip service and threw some money at it’

@AlexusYoung-r3g February 22, 2025 - 9:16 am

Intergenerational trauma repercussions have the ability to cross generations unless there is closure. Common sense will dictate this will not be a story so easily forgotten, let alone officially resolved until this closure comes to fruition. This is s case study for future generations how a justice system can be an utter FAILURE. Disgrace will be an end-result that will lead to despair, addiction, ptsd., self-harm, dysfunction & for some, suicide.

@Emeriep February 22, 2025 - 9:16 am

These politicians don’t care about children when they’re bought out by the NRA. They will have to answer to someone when the time comes.

@Ainslet February 22, 2025 - 9:16 am

I love how these shootings keep happening, but the governors and some of our federal administrators only want to tighten security at the schools, as if that's helped at all, and refuse to take a step back to look at the bigger picture of our country and use common sense. Instead, they allow more children to be unalived and they just don't care.

@ltvanburen8555 February 22, 2025 - 9:16 am

Oh my God. The telephones in the school did not work properly? How long had the school had that issue?
Oh, and also, Greg Abbott is a despicable individual.

@gooodies4u1 February 22, 2025 - 9:16 am

How was he still an officer in the streets after being shot in arm and losing proper mobility of his arm and hand. You’d think he’d be placed on administrative job

@akw1974 February 22, 2025 - 9:16 am

wonder what the shooter meant by saying '' i didn't think i could do it" ?!?! Did he mean he didn't thnk he could take on two cops? Or did he mean he didn't think he could kill himself? so weird. So very sad for SF

@ChevyisBetter February 22, 2025 - 9:16 am

18:03 W HUSBAND didn't even care abt getting shot

@abelacosta7200 February 22, 2025 - 9:16 am

It’s crazy how senators, politicians, attorneys, & our own government, will go out of their way to protect a mass murderer or a serial sex offender. But will throw the book at a drug dealer. Or lock someone up for decades simply because they are a repeat offender. But yet someone can molest multiple children & be given a sentence so short that they are released & again they victimize their community. It’s so easy for them to gather evidence on a dealer & get a warrant to raid a house. But yet they can’t gather enough evidence for any of the unsolved murders that have a pattern & been happening for years? Tuh. SMH đŸ¤Ļ‍♂ī¸. What ever happened to human decency? Why is it so wrong for people to do the right thing? Lord have mercy on us all.

@sr-7124 February 22, 2025 - 9:16 am

I went to a neighbouring school. That day, in 2nd period, we were all given a mandatory lockdown drill presentation. I didn’t know why.
Halfway through the PowerPoint, my teacher broke up and walked out of the room to cry. She was 6 months pregnant.
That was when someone leaned over and said our neighboring city’s school had been attacked just earlier.
No words in any language can express what I felt then. And I can’t imagine what our neighbors feltâ€Ļ

Thank you to all the teachers and cops out there.

@notfinxx February 22, 2025 - 9:16 am

I go to this school. I was in 3rd grade when it happened, and am in 10th grade now. The people there for the event graduated a year before I entered the building. These days, the school is pretty normal. Kids talk in the hallways, and there are more than a few "jokes" about a "part two". Nothing ever comes of these threats. The building is more secure than a normal school though, all students have to walk with their bags through metal detectors, and there are armed police officers around the halls. Teachers are required to use a fingerprint scanner to enter the building. Santa Fe isn't much different from other medium-sized Texas towns, except for the fact that the only notable thing about it is that one of the deadliest high-school shootings occurred here.

@michaelawolfman9121 February 22, 2025 - 9:16 am

CBT is a very basic therapeutic intervention. To have not tried that indicates they don’t want him to be competent to stand trial.
