During Goodluck Jonathan's presidency, there were significant allegations of embezzlement related to military funds meant to combat Boko Haram insurgents. In 2014, a high-profile scandal emerged involving the theft of billions of naira. A report from the Nigerian government in 2015 revealed that about $2.1 billion (over 300 billion naira at the time) meant for the fight against Boko Haram had been misappropriated by high-ranking officials, including top military personnel.

This was part of a wider investigation into the diversion of funds and the role of former military leaders, including the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, who was arrested and charged for his involvement in the mismanagement and embezzlement of defense funds. The scandal raised questions about the effectiveness of the government’s efforts to combat Boko Haram during that period.
Please stop the propaganda that USAID sponsored Boko Haram. Goodluck Jonathan didn't have much choice than left after losing the election. Can someone explain to me how Nigeria economy was growing higher like you claimed? Corruption was on another levels during his era. Boko Haram should be traced back to those individuals embezzled military funds to fight Boko Haram insurgency. With that much money put into military funds, should be questioned by common sense Nigerians.
Republican party is a party of propaganda. There's zero evidence that USAID financed boko haram.

Pa Adesanya, rest in peace. A very good and truthful man.

@kckc8664 February 16, 2025 - 2:12 am

Eeyaah, great Pa Adebanjo, the only Yoruba man with very very few other Yoruba individuals with integrity. Great Pa Adebanj, go in peace, a man with high level of integrity, conscience and God fearing. RIP great Pa Adebanjo, I so much love you. 😢😢. Ribadu, don't cut more than u can chew. It is easy for u telling Canada to go to hell, without considering the consequences of your statement. He who live in glass house doesn't throw stone. Don't create problems for Tinubu and poor Nigerians trooping to Canada seeking for greener pastures. Don't force Canada to open the nyash of Tinubu on his past atrocities.

@mohammadidrisbuba3839 February 16, 2025 - 2:12 am

For the first time I had Kabiru Adamu calling boko haram with boko haram, to me Kabiru calling them with the name they prefer is clearly shown of sympathy to BH. Pls be ore responsible

@macaulleyskitchen8836 February 16, 2025 - 2:12 am

Big slap 😅😂

@mike001a February 16, 2025 - 2:12 am

Seun Nigerians are respectful people it has nothing to do with tribe respect is not only a yoruba thing. It's great that the Canadian embassy refused those army chief visas. Some people are already in Canada, and what's he going there to do.

It's a waste of funds he should fix Nigeria security not flying to Canada for sport. Serious general should be in the field not flying about doing nothing.

@Soros_Abiah February 16, 2025 - 2:12 am

Is this guy blaming asylum seekers ni?

This guy is trying to be smart by claiming, BH doesn't get aids from USAID. Didn't call them BH but one Arabic name, hmm… Northern elites are in support of Boko Haram jare.

@emilyoge5106 February 16, 2025 - 2:12 am

Continue to struggle with Scot Perry statement. Nonsensical

@emilyoge5106 February 16, 2025 - 2:12 am

@ziononyeze9884 February 16, 2025 - 2:12 am

Pa Ayo Adebanjo, you stood for equal justice in this country, we`ll always miss you💔. May God Almighty grant your soul a peaceful rest.

@wisdom447 February 16, 2025 - 2:12 am

Your guest blames the report on the asylum seekers' statements. That was a lie.

@Drengy332 February 16, 2025 - 2:12 am

The news of the foremost journalist, Lawyer, leader of Pan Yoruba socio-political group, and a true and detribalised elderstatesman, Pa Ayo Sam Adebanjo touched me the same way the news of the demise of my biological Dad touched me. He lived a life of impact and stood upright to his beliefs and convictions. His strong voice will be sorely missed. Adieu Pa Adebanjo.

@wisdom447 February 16, 2025 - 2:12 am

Your guest blames the report on the asylum seekers' statements. That was a lie.

@IamKaska February 16, 2025 - 2:12 am

I dont know why the guest is stylishly saying he doesn't see the link between the terrorist funding. He was being economical with the truth

@georgeodunayo1898 February 16, 2025 - 2:12 am

There's always a lazy man's approach to documentation in Nigeria.There is a procedure for visa application irrespective of your status.

@suzyjatau1210 February 16, 2025 - 2:12 am

Nah, there are too many holes in the story. I suspect that American money has funded some of the alleged organisations indirectly. If not, why are there over 1000 empty villages across Northern Nigeria? God, ya Allah will punish all of those who have a hand in killings and kidnappings across Northern Nigeria.

@georgeodunayo1898 February 16, 2025 - 2:12 am

Why France before Ethiopia?Oh!To pick the agenda for the meeting.

@georgeodunayo1898 February 16, 2025 - 2:12 am

Another yoruba iroko tree had fallen.May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

@fr-alexanderugochukwuokere8061 February 16, 2025 - 2:12 am

To make Nigeria work so they actually know Nigeria is not working

@benjaminokoye86 February 16, 2025 - 2:12 am

Don't bother, sir, you'd eat your words soon when all the truth comes out, and all the truth will come out. You're dumb sir, that's why you're struggling… so is this channel, come to think of it. Y'all are just putting up a show.

@johnnyodeh2447 February 16, 2025 - 2:12 am

We as a people must also be tolerant and diplomatic, the statement of the NSA was uncalled for. This is what we the average citizens face everyday and they have not done anything serious about it… they only take it seriously when it happens to those that are considered elites. All Nigerians should be treated equally with dignity and respect.

@ObjectiveObserver-xh4vk February 16, 2025 - 2:12 am

Go and collect the VISA na ,Seun…

Na you get am.😂😂😂

The world is watching what's happening in Nigeria.

An embassy in a country has security experts who have ears 👂 on the ground.
